Borobudur Trip - Cancelled

yes yes, the latest update and the much-most-very-looked-forward-to Borobudur trip's been called off.

i'm let-downed,

dissapointed,

& feeling much distressed, but life goes on. & i am picking up pieces of my life which i have been missing and meaning to do all this while (given the excuses of *Busy* or *Occupied* or *Tired* even *Lazy* inapplicable during this unemployed state..)

just back from LDC from a very long initiation and here's a teaser of what i am going to post,

Endless Waiting...

well, its finally August!i haven't posted anything here for ages now as there's still a bunch'a unedited photographs from prev. vacations/excursions.

(not to mention i still owe Ming some pics from previous vacation trip we went during June!) *chews nails*

its about 2 weeks from now till we'll see more postings here! i have been stuck since Bali'06, *gasp* so much for procastinating!!!!!

in short, this year's been a slow torturous rollercoaster ride for me, you feel like u wanna sit back and enjoy the ride, but u wait endlessly for the sudden jerk of a turn, or the big dip upfront, the triple loop u'll like so much to scream ur necks off for it.

then i thought, hell like i'll wait.. i'll catch another rollercoaster!

look forward to see Borobudur by this months' end and a brand new beginning afterward! the pilgrimage should bring a good start if not a very promising one.

i miss my viet cold vermicelli!!!!!!! tried this one at Bongsen@KLCC on Friday night after a long day@work. Packed with an assortment of carrots,cucumber,pickle carrot in sweet-ish vinegar,fragrant ground peanuts, fresh beansprout, thinly sliced lettuce strips, arranged neatly in lil turfs on a bed of cold rice vermicelli, topped with lemongrass grilled chicken strips,this meal packs freshness into a (HUGE!) bowl! (pricily priced at approx RM 16!). at the end of dinner, my puny belly bloated to about 3 times its usual size! (my dinner portions are usually ONe-third!)

tmrw is friDay! wanna go midvalley to have my salad noodle (as how fuz calls it)!!!! yummy yums! & time to sleep now, just completed a portion of my drawings. head to my snoozLes now.

the day i came back to blog.

i logged in my blog a week ago and find my layout incomplete with images as broken links. sObs* how'd that happened while i am away? gRr. will have to stick with a template from blogger's in the meantime. im back the the photography scene, at least for these few weeks. get honed for the bali trip we'd been planning for late sept! and many concurrent events here and there at LDC. sadly i am going to miss the Thousand Light Offering (again) for the 2nd year straight! how dreadful. wish i could convince the exco-s to resched or sth, lols! or even hope the dates in tibetan calendar shuffles (almost too miraculously to be happening, even Buddha cant help much in this!)

i blogged this day, and today and no other day because i want to remember today as the day i was given a reminder. something to keep my head occupied with a difficult decision to make. sumthing that definitely confirms the existence of my doubts and uncertainty.
hearing it from a 3rd party confirms that.
it was in the back of my head all along.
but i needed that lil prodding
that lil.reminder..

the lil.sth that confirmed my fear.
fear of negligence.
fear of being substituted.
fear of being disposed of.
fear of being dismissed.

confirms i need to pull up my socks.

otherwise. confirm neglected. confirm substituted, confirmed disposed and confirmed dismissed. and confirm die.die.

so its almost the end of the 2week long celebration for cny.
gone rounder? very much!!!
all from the excessive makan sessions at fren's place, relative's,our own reunion new year's eve (a MUST every year!- and we play host) - thats about 24 hours straight ofsteamboat's worth!

not to mention feeling so bad for threwing up my lunches two days backs in a row, they could have gone to much hungrier tummies. festive seasons oways an excuse for wastage, thrwoing unfinished food and such. and i hate mamak! im gonna ignore mamak for as long as i remember having my head half buried in the bowl painstakingly emptying my bowel. i felt like a drab. sourish after-taste in my tongue. i remembered it like its still on my tongue! yikey!

will be posting my post(or pre-)nauseating pics soon (when i was in Tioman with colleagues and were well fed and seasoned - yes note my new tanned tint!)

waking early to watch Charlotte's Web tmrw with fuz. sitting next to piggy watching another! whoops. speaking of the year of the oiNk, im determined to work my way out of my piGgy state -its hurting my ego that fuz is starting to workout at gym while im dreamily wishing the spare tyres to roll away by themselves one fine sunny day! whaM*! back to reality!

but i gotta be heading to pig now, its almost 3am! nitesy!

parents were back from jiuzhaigou, and bangkok lately. and my life's been short of everything except interesting. Life's updates = Zilch.

i should prolly look forward to photoblogging about my parents' trips, but getting to kickstart with editing is just ENOUGH to kill my enthusiasm. *yikeys*

a visit to LDC :)

been a long time since i actually had time to read blogs, lest update my own! i have been to places though, met people, get involved in activities but when i finally got home to my home sweet home, the only energy left was to brush my teeth, wash up my grimy face and tuck myself in bed. at times i get dreams, and those were the times when i wake up huffing puffing, as though i had chased myself in the perimeters of my room, other times i woke up with a jolt, like dodging the monster under my bed! went to the Losang Dragpa Centre in SS17 last Sunday to witness the Buddha Relics myself, have heard Khan numerous times on how miraculous it is. havent got the pics to show u what i meant but do read up more on it at the Centre's official webbie, more here & here!!!!

pretty butter candle offerings, they smell almost too delicious, they can be eaten! :P these are found in abundance at the altar or offering tables. can be bought at RM 10 each and all funds raised are proceeded to the centre :) i prayed for safety, health and happiness for my family and my loved ones. Nice nice smelling caNdles!

these comes with the candle and flowers! and too pretty i HAD to take a shot of it, though i reckon its rude to be snapping near the altar, (thats why i refrained from getting myself and my lense too near to the relics!)
the golden stupa! to be frank i wasnt sure what this is for, but i recall it houses the 10 (or isit 10,000k) powerful mantras? (well,if someone who noes,just correct me oRites :P) i dropped by the centre a few times now, but havent gotten so familiarised yet. its great fun there tho, staying to help whenever i can and meeting new people. the funny thing about meeting people in an environment as this, it leaves me a warm and fuzzy feeling. the sense of belonging. the sense of being together, and the sense of able to connect even through a simple smile :) good things do CErtainly doesnt need to come oin big packages! :P

these days, i have hardly the luxury to smile wistfully at myself thinking back the contented times, those frens, those places, those occasions. the laughters that still ring in ur head, the smiles thats etched in the back of ur mind, the things we were used to doing, that now we arent, it feels like ages ago, yet it was just a year back.

by making an effort to visit the centre once a week, maybe there's hope after all. brings light back to my dull, work-worn life .

*back to my snoozles, and miND i NEED it so much*

don expect me to update so often now, may be a bi-monthly thing i foresee.

since the city's been shrouded in haze recently, and my camera's been under the sheets for few darn weeks. an ex-colleague of mine just called and asked me if i m interested to join him for shotting tomorrow at Bkt. Jalil,and i had to decline him because im catching the movies tomorow! im going shooting next week hopefully, and i hope the weather's finer by then! i hate bleak, grey, depthless quality pictures.

pics were taken last satuRday ( at a newly opened Prince Cafe in Ss2 ) maybe not so new, but since i am slowpaced, and not in tuned with my changing surroundings, i'd take it as new, siNce me and wen havent tried that place yet.

its my 1st time meeting wen siNce the prev time before i started work! we were at f.r.i.e.n.d.z cafe that time, with tyuen and jkhan.

we'd decided to make it a girl's nite since those guys been goin out but'd not bothered to ring us up as well

the place turn out to be very much like hyped-Hongkie type of cafes. the food was not bad, better than i had expected. as it was oredy past 9,we sampled on a serving of the Pork Chop burger, which is one of the top ten topsellers, (but unforch, the pics had not turned out well, so i'd rather not post em*)



i like wen's smoothie! the taste of strawberry is so fresh, yet tangy, yet not tasting like the concentrate type thats either too sweet or too sour.

yummy! and thats my Mango & Passionfruit Smoothie, the two flavours blends up to be a very nice chilling combination! the texture is fine-blended, and doesnt clump in icebergs. JuIcy! definitely not for the brain-freezers! i thoroughly enjoyed it, every Sip! :>

i havent been to places for so long, and i would normally shun places like Wongkok cos' its too noisy, this place is just right, wit the right ambience, lighting and decor wise.

we headed back home after ta pau-ing the Pork and Vege Dumpling Soup Noodle for my sis. its quite like the very famed Ramen in Dragon-i but the taste lacks in this aspect, bland tasting. im in for full flavours, with a certain ooooMPh or kick*! that is a no -no for me. my sis on the other hand find it okay and slurped it all up in a few bites!

i want so much to update Bali,but my photoshop has turned Cranky for now! it keeps hanging when i wanna edit my image sizes! Bali will be up as soon as photoshop's fixed! till then, hang on in there guys! :P:P see ya in a jiffy and a great weekend to y'all!*muakz*!

its my 2nd week of work in The Company to count today!!
i feel like i couldnt handle the traumas of working life yesterday that i told my mum my tastebuds are too tired they couldnt taste any of the d-Licious dinner she cooked.

i wanna wear off my bones off my back and beat them hard so it would pain so much, that it numbs the soreness i was feeling.... (such exagggeration!)

then Mum said, " Must ask Dad to get u a Massage Chair edi........"

woots!!!

i thought in commercials, it was the children who got their parents massagechairs instead~

i was like... *blimey* =S "......"

the Great Mountain Rattan, i dont see in ANY area particularly resembling the rattan plant!! it makes a nice subject for photographing though, capturing light that bounces off its texture, shape, repetition and rich colour!

the slender green thing could have been mistaken as a vine of this creeper foliage! we were told by the restaurant owner that there are about 4-5 of these slithering freely within the garden (and sue being the slithery-scaredy-silly, took a courageous step forward to snap this piccy of the frenly green snake~!) the pic looks okay, its head was turned away,its orite.. shy u see.....*yippee i feel victorious!*

30th June 2006 - Day 2!

On the very next morning, set out to look for breakfast along Gurney again(!?!!) had fried kuey teow with huge prawns, shredded crabmeat sticks, fat juicy cockles!!! very generous la the lady! ( i like every bit except the cockles, so Kelvin Kuah happily made a dash for them and finished all in one gulp!)

in the car, Wayne tries to get us all ready for a picture! we are all busy jabbering in the back.

on the 2nd try, he managed to coax a few of us to turn our heads at least, jabberings ceased.. Mr.Liew's face got cropped! heidi gets blocked by The Ornament and Kenji trIes to be the tallest (cos he noes he is nOT, haha!) and Wayne maintains the expression!

and the 3rd try,picture perfecto!!! Mr.Liew even manages a... L= Love? or L=Lame? sign. Heidi pokes her head in position, Kenji is feeling jubilant he still has the tallest head, and poor Wayne still MAINTAINS the expression. must have been tired waiting for us all! :P ;P

and thats my attempt of getting myself a self-portraiture, but alex poke his head in, and we have a landscape view instd! bweks!

we visited the Toy Museum which is located at Tanjung Bungah, strategicaly infront of the Copthorne Orchid Hotel. this is a place where the young or old, can find a piece of something which they can relate to! walking into this museum, u will reminisce of the times u used to own a piece or two of these toys. the guys are definitely so so so excited to come here...

there are so much to see, yet so lil pic i have taken! :) :) anyway, here are a few that i pretty took my time to snap. if u want Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, Power Rangers and all the boystoys i cant remember, be sure to look out for Kelvin Phang, half of his cam's memory are filled with pics of those!

and heck no, this scares the wits out of me! i cant relate to this, the movie makes no sense either!

sorry for the blindspots! its the only way to get these peep's face noticeable on the pic! its pretty dim in there at certain areas, be sure u are careful, and dont tread onto stray Gollums or Master Yodas. lol

okay, this Stitch is safe in the case, but its made of acrylic! im imagining an Experiment 626(Stitch that is!) coming alive at nite, pry the acrylic case open with his saw-like quality canines and creeps quietly behind people's back to tickle them till they get stitches.

maybe thats why they close at 6pm!

Back at the Hotel......

bored in the hotel, no one wants to layan me!!! grr! random pics of the Mr.Liew's SE, he's nowhere to be seen, busy off sumwhere... i wonder where they are.....

so i found them, at the living area,noises and laughter! what are they doin?!?! having a cuppa?

found them with these!!! they look like agar-agar jelly dont they!??? the mahjong boys, they can stay in the entire day just playing mahjong!

so what is exactly so nice about mahjong?! and can anyone tell me what these mean?! :P:P i just see flowers and chinese characters.... what fun can u get outta those?! well well, they got their asses off finally, and headed to the pool rightafter! if its not the mahjong, its the pool! :P better the pool than mahjong then :P

here's a view of the poolside by our balcony. they have a soft spot for that area. they hang their laundry there u see. a few undies got blown off the railings and some end up in other unit's balconys! one turned up at the pool, another near the shrubs!!!! lols!

dinner@gurneydrive tonight! these guys had multiple servings over and over again. Char kuey Teow, Asam Laksa, Rojak, Ais Kacang, Fried Chicken Skin (yes fatty but very crunchy!), Tau Foo Fa..........

and repeat the list again for the 2nd and 3rd time! i wondered what they were doin in the pool earlier on....watching them eat is enough alone for me and Dee :P lols

@11pm - went to Batu ferringhi, initially plan to surprise and celebrate Chee Wei's 22nd by the beach near Parkroyal Penang but it was drizzling madness and we had to change our plans!
