this is my very long over-DUED(dieded) Penang trip post that i have long delayed to update! Dee and Kenji's been bugging me all week! guys, here it is, and its just the 1st day's pics and posts. far too many for a 4day trip postings. and i hate being long winded, so do bear with me if u hear the hints of me beginning to sound like one!
29th july 2006- 7:27am - we'd long had our breakfast and now seated comfortably in Mr.Liew's car embarking on our journey to Penang.. . me and dee chatted chirpily behind, taking random piccys once in a very while...
7:44am - ahhh, just looK at the morning sunrise! beautiful aint it?! i have waited so long for this moment and i was clicking away the camera just getting the perfect shot! travelling in mR.Liew's speeding car did not make my job easy as there are oways stray trees, cars, hillocks, and other unidentifiable objects obstructing the view.
the excitement is over when the clicking start to lessen, the music gets louder, the car moves faster, the guys in front asking me to get some sleep every now and then (hoping i will shut up!! haha) and dee getting sleepier.
later on, we pulled over at 2 stops when the other two cars need to refuel, *discharge*, recharge, *refill*, and we are back onthe wheels again.
got nothing to shoot till gotta shoot this crystallic hanging thingy hung on the rear mirror. wuahaha, my fab ultrasonic 12x zoom and image stabiliser, i
am enjoying it!
boredom then starts to morph to hunger, when u are feeling bored, and done with all the talking, u resort to having something to munch on ( to kill the boredom that is )
Mr.Liew our Driver starts to rummage with one hand in a bag of goodies, and another hand on the steering, with Kenji just next to him plainly not doing anything and, not even intending to help him open the packet of cookie!!! wah! geramnya i sitting behind!
me : woooi kenji (as of whacking him nonstop on his shoulder at the sametime)....ur friend driving-ah.. u dunno how to help him open wan-ah!
kenji : ai-yah..... (then reluctantly takes it from Mr.Liew and opens for him)
me : u very teruk wan-la! see people driving oso dowan help people buka, u sit next to him for wat-leh?!
kenji : .... dot dot dot (makes a face that looks like >:-#) he makes this face when he kena temBak!
he proceeds on while i was looking away toward the windows watching the sceneries gleefully giggling at myself, haha
kenji : hey sue, nah.. give u one. (as he passes a cookie to my direction)
me: u open the cookie wan-maHh, hmmmph i dowans!!!!
kenji: not i open wan, Mr.Liew open wan de......
me: oo.. isit-ah?!?!! ... ooo!! then i want-lo!!! (dashes forward to grab the cookie from him and munch happily on it.....)
kenji: !~{&@#*^%#%!@*&^~!
muahahhahah!
so the zha dau!!!! they started roaring in the car and Kenji proceeds to calling me names resulting in me continuously whacking him on his shoulder...!!! whoar! *

we arrived at penang at approx
12noon and started to look for lunch (being boys they are, they get hungry very easily!)

the food loft, Gurney Plaza - Dee and Kelvin! the place which is named the
Food Loft is done in simple grey finishes, very much unstained concrete,with mini hanging chandeliers complete with grey-tinted glass partitionings for privacy and lush backed seatings.
dee and i shared a
spaghetthi carbonara, comes with turkey ham, bland white sauce, weak hint of cheesiness, thin consistency, overcooked pasta, not
al-dente at all! ciplak-ness quality! not pasta-worthied to be blogged about! finished it all the same, hungry we all are!
has nice setting though, accented with modern abstract (paintings) okay so -so service and great location of the dining area overlooking the sea,shores, Penang Bridge, the skyline and passing ships :)
and finally at around 3pm, we checked in our hotel,
Hydro Majestic Hotel (which was prev. known as the
Batu Ferringhi Hotel *pst .. i think the latter sounds better..) which is located on the Ferringhi beach itself.
hauled all our bags and luggages into the suite that comes with a livingroom, a double-single bedroom, and only
ONE bathroom! how'd i imagine this to be?! 11 of us squeezed into a tuna can! phwoar!
wahliaosness. its gonna be nightmarish wit all these uncontrollable monkeys!

Miami Bay (fancy names for holiday beachfront homes) and the apartments to the left of the hotel! :):)
Mummy dee, who takes good care of our belongings that INCLUDES carkeys, wallets, spectacles, cameras, handphones! she is oso the
Guardian of The Key, alongside with the abovementions. she alone holds the key to our room and she is like our mummy! :P:P she oso makes sure the guys behave so the both of us wont get bullied siao by them. lols!

had a filling dinner near our hotel and proceeded to the famous beaches of Penang, the Batu Ferringhi beaches. there are hotels at every nook and cranny of this place, not to mention the local pasarmalam that offers great bargains selling everything from souvenirs, clothes, arts and crafts, accessories, watches, vdcs, dvds u name it! restaurants, dining places,bars, cafes,boutiques,souvenir shops are also abundant here!!

dee's hand missing here! i dunno where she's misplaced it! its a beautiful nite at the beach wit the waves lapping, the sands soft between my toes and the wind caressing my face.. wishing fuzzy was there! :> had a long long walk before walking back to the hotel to snappy more piccIes!

Grand Plaza Penang Parkroyal Hotel! (thats the corridors to the right wing of the hotel, that leads to a very cool nifty bar i-cant-remember-its-name!! :<) ammm wait, its..
Cool Bananas! woot! just like its name, its just cool, i like the color-changing backdrop of the liquor display at the bar! (sory don have pic!)
the loBby upon entering the entrance looks pretty impressive. Entering to the right of the entrance, the interiors and deco of the
Javana Lounge boasts high volume, simple forms, classy colour scheme, tropical based materials selection, mostly accented types of lighting to accentuate (if not what?!), plushy comfy couches! very teak-ish, tanned, cream+black! will call this theme the *Fuzzy's Choice* haha!
the less noise(y) quality pics - rattan-like materials for lighting! creates nice dispersions of lights that reflects on what seems to be dark-tinted glass table tops! :) the bamboo streaks at the left acts like a static*curtain*/partitions for the lounge/dining areas. very tRopical!!
there's also a stage at the far end, where the grand piano stands mighty on the left accompanying other instrument players for a band performance that nite :P i cant remember which song though, but i found myself humming the tune while i was checking the whole place out, picking my locations and angles for piccy takiNg ;)
we left at about 11 that nite, as everyone was feeling tired, esp the 3 drivers. well, but when we arrived at the hotel lateR that nite, they resumed their mahjong games till late at nite and never got to sleep till about 5am!! darn these lazy pigs!
and i slept through the entire nite without any ssheeets, cold and shivering and wishing i was in my cocoon at home insteaD!! not enough sheets *

in the car, Wayne tries to get us all ready for a picture! we are all busy jabbering in the back.
on the 2nd try, he managed to coax a few of us to turn our heads at least, jabberings ceased.. Mr.Liew's face got cropped! heidi gets blocked by The Ornament and Kenji trIes to be the tallest (cos he noes he is nOT, haha!) and Wayne maintains the expression!
and the 3rd try,picture perfecto!!! Mr.Liew even manages a... L= Love? or L=Lame? sign. Heidi pokes her head in position, Kenji is feeling jubilant he still has the tallest head, and poor Wayne still MAINTAINS the expression. must have been tired waiting for us all! :P ;P

sorry for the blindspots! its the only way to get these peep's face noticeable on the pic! its pretty dim in there at certain areas, be sure u are careful, and dont tread onto stray Gollums or Master Yodas. lol
okay, this Stitch is safe in the case, but its made of acrylic! im imagining an Experiment 626(Stitch that is!) coming alive at nite, pry the acrylic case open with his saw-like quality canines and creeps quietly behind people's back to tickle them till they get stitches.

here's a view of the poolside by our balcony. they have a soft spot for that area. they hang their laundry there u see. a few undies got blown off the railings and some end up in other unit's balconys! one turned up at the pool, another near the shrubs!!!! lols!
dinner@gurneydrive tonight! these guys had multiple servings over and over again. Char kuey Teow, Asam Laksa, Rojak, Ais Kacang, Fried Chicken Skin (yes fatty but very crunchy!), Tau Foo Fa..........
filled to the brim, and a stroll along gurneydrive after dinnering, and a group piccy! this one's blur! :<

@11pm - went to Batu ferringhi, initially plan to surprise and celebrate Chee Wei's 22nd by the beach near Parkroyal Penang but it was drizzling madness and we had to change our plans!
